Portsmouth University Students' Union Peaceful Protest in favour of a People's Vote outside the Guildhall from noon until 15.00.

Vanessa Peak, currently in her 2nd year reading Criminology and Criminal Justice at the University of Portsmouth, is organising a #PeoplesVote peaceful protest with the support of Portsmouth Students' Union on Saturday 16th March 2109, 12pm outside the Portsmouth Guildhall.

Vanessa writes "at the time of the Referendum in 2016 there were 1.46 million 16 and 17 year olds in the UK and a study conducted revealed that 82% of them would have voted to remain in the EU. These 16 & 17 year olds are now old enough to vote, they are our future and as such I believe they should be given the chance to have their voices heard and their vote counted. I will also be extending this invitation to Winchester, Southampton and Chichester universities to gain maximum student participation".
The EM Portsmouth-Chichester Branch is pleased to promote this event and members and supporters wil be welcome to come along and show their support on the day.
